[Note: My good friend Matt helped me out with these photos. Katrina and Tori provided inspiration, and Tori and Bandmate Ben were the reason for my being out in the first place, 'cause it was their birthdays. So, thanks, kids, for being born.]

Dress, Prairie Underground
Blouse, vintage [a gift from Bandmate Hilly, who wore it and loved it for years]
Shoes, DV by Dolce Vita

This is my very favorite dress – one of the first things I bought upon moving to New York, to this day the most versatile piece of clothing I have. I wear it to work, out dancing, and running errands. Typically I wear it alone, so it’s easy, but on this night I wanted more jazz. [More jazz is always a good thing, right?]
Still rocking those same DV by Dolce Vita wedges. Still loving them. Still making waves every time I wear them at the office.
Hilly bought this shirt at a thrift shop, and she cropped the sleeves herself. I’m going to finish the edges and make them a little bit more clean-looking. I already took it in on the sides [it was really boxy], but all in all, I’ve worn it at least three times since she gave it to me, and I’m glad to have it.
My knee has that terrible scab on it, because I’m clumsy.
This was the night that Tori and Ben were celebrating their birthdays, so of course someone brought sparklers.
