I am frequently bringing work home with me, because I enjoy working at my kitchen table way more than in my windowless office at work. Any tips to keep me from losing my mind [aside from midday window shopping trips at the local strip - I've become a pro at that, thanks!]?
When you pack your own lunch, what do you like to pack?
What’s a splurge you’ve recently made? I am thisclose to paying off a painful old debt, and to be honest, I already feel less stressed. What do you spend on when things are going well?
Speaking of splurges, I just bought a Flickr Pro account. Who wants to be friends? My new camera has pretty much guaranteed more photo funtimes for you, and more participation in wardrobe remixing and such. Fun stuff!
We’re starting to get rough mixes back from our time in Nashville. The Minor Leagues’ sixth album, North College Hill, will be released this fall if everything goes according to plan. I’m really stoked to share some of it with you – soon, kiddos!
As you can probably tell from my post the other day, I am so done with this weather. I’m sartorially underinspired and feeling perpetually ugly – humidity isn’t good for my skin. My rompers, full skirts, and silk shells [all purchased secondhand, natch] are making it bearable, but still . . . ugh. I can’t wait for sweaters and tights and coziness.
Have you gone on summer vacation yet, or are you going to? We’re going to spend some time in Louisville and Chicago at dates to be determined. Who wants to meet up for drinks/dancing/shenanigans? You know you want to.

Flickr rocks! Congrats on the Pro Account!
When I pack my own lunch, I’d like to make salads… right now, my favorite is tomato-mozzarella salad with balsamic vinegar. Yum!

It might seem a little silly, but when I get a little more money than I expected at work I splurge on a big wedge of good brie. Compared to the things I might be tempted to use my money on it’s certainly less expensive… which means that instead of blowing all of my hard earned money instead I can save it, which is after all the point of working so hard for it in the first place. And it’s definitely something I consider an indulgence, so I feel totally rewarded even if I’m not buying a new pair of shoes I don’t really have room for anyways.

My mom makes big meals in our corckpot – everything from soup to chicken & roasts & stews, divvies them up in plastic Tupperware and takes those to work along with chopped raw veggies (that she usually preps Sundays so she doesn’t have to worry about them during the week)
When I splurge, I usually go for items in my Amazon wish list (which is 7 pages long LOL) or make up or a nice dinner out.
Adding you to my Flickr friends! I am, unsurprisingly, GlassofWin
